Breslau - The red Tide

Last night it was time for the second scenario in our Breslau campaigne. This time was almost as close as our previous game.

The preliminary bombardment from the russians managed to hit the german LMG-team and the vulksturm squad but only three figures were removed as casualities.

First a overview of the battlefield. It was a much more open set-up than the first game.

The russians hit hard from the start, but the fear of the open ground in the middle made them split their forces to the left and right flank. This proved to be a mistake.

A swarm of russians entering a destroyed building in the outskirts of the german deployment zone.

In the second turn a panzer jaeger team appeared from the sewers and did a lot of damage to the russian tnaks

In turn 8 the russians started to close up on the german positions and the germans took a lot of casualities

Germans falling back away from the red tide

The game ended after nine turns, the germans had lost more than 50% but had n ot reached it's break point, so a draw this time but the germans got two extra points for the destruction of two soviet AFV.

Germany - Soviet 4-2

Another great report.

The AT teams popping up always caused some great destruction during play testing, although to be honest they never really survived too well after the initial turn.
